The CDC Guidelines are a well put together resource created to be useful in all schools and to help give guidance that can be applied to all members of the school community. The guidelines have role specific material and content to deliver to specific learners. The page count is over 80 pages. Dropping these guidelines in the lap of staff, administration and parents, as is, likely won’t be an effective way to deliver what they need to know.
SOLUTION: DELIVER IMPORTANT INFORMATION CLEARLY AND CONCISELY
When delivering food allergy and anaphylaxis education to your school communities attempt to give your learners just what they need. If they are given material that is only half relevant to them and their role, they may not absorb the half that is needed.
